Consultant Physician in Inclusion Health, NHS/UCL/Women's Inclusion Health Collective
Binta's work focuses on social justice in health. She is a Consultant Physician in Inclusion Health, the first in the NHS. Binta is also Chair of the National Clinical Network of Sexual Assault and Abuse Services at NHS England, and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Infection and Sexual Health at UCL. She advocates for more integrated, inclusive and effective health strategies and policies for socially marginalised populations, with the voice of lived experience at the centre. Binta is a co-founder of the Women's Inclusion Health Collective, a lived experience led research and advocacy organisation which seeks to highlight how services systematically exclude marginalised women and encourage organisations to address this inequality.
