Women’s health is now firmly in the spotlight

  • Although women in the UK on average live longer than men, women spend a significantly greater proportion of their lives in ill health and disability when compared with men
  • Women are also under-represented when it comes to important clinical trials
  • Not enough is known about conditions that only affect women, or about how conditions that affect both men and women impact them in different ways
  • There are far too many cases where women’s voices have not been listened to

What you need to know

The new ‘Women’s Health Strategy for England’ was published on 20 July explaining the government’s 10-year ambitions and actions to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls in England.

This virtual event will be an ideal opportunity to find out more about the new government strategy and how it will be applicable to your clinical practice.
